Based in West Seattleher native neighborhoodHinton values her roots, authoring Seattle's first neighborhood guidebook, West Seattle 101, and writing
a weekly column for the West Seattle Herald. But her career has taken her all over the world.
Hinton writes and produces national and international TV series and documentaries for Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, National Geographic Channel, The History Channel,
and PBS. Off the set, and on stage, Hinton serves as a playwright, producer and creative consultant for live, nationally-touring youth education shows,
such as FMA Live! developed by NASA and Honeywell.
An avid traveler, Hinton also blends work and play by sharing her stories and photos with travel magazines. Her adventures have taken her to 17,000
feet in the North Indian Himalayas, along the Inca Trail through the Andes of Peru, and beyond.
